So we officially are the proud owners of a PINK Christmas tree! It probably doesn't shock anyone who has read my blog for longer than a minute that I would want a bright pink tree, I never actually thought I'd find one in full height that checked all my boxes (prelit, not made of tinsel and really full!). I first discovered this beauty last Spring as I started to work on my plans for a Holiday collaboration with the lovely folks at Canadian Tire (to my US friends, it's like the equivalent of Target here in Canada. And, yes, they do sell tires too!). I was able to get my hands on the shopping list for the full Bright section of their Holiday themes in order to come up with a set design and styling ideas and WHOA! there she was. The most beautiful Christmas tree my eyes ever saw.
Fast forward 6 months and she's taken up residence in our family room. I had a tonne of fun coming up with DIY's and styling ideas for the whole playful line of Bright holiday decor (you can check ALL of it out here, along with some fun DIY videos and styling ideas right here)
Wren and I decided to keep the decorations on the tree to a minimum. I don't think it needed much besides some handmade snowflakes we made over a few weekends for a personal touch, and then a snowflake tree topper to tie it all together (we also bought the tree topper at Canadian Tire!).
ps- if you just can't commit to this big pink beauty, I did see these little ones in store and they are adorable!
Almost done shopping and wrapping gifts, which was a breeze this year thanks to white wrapping paper and neon twine we picked up at the dollar store and our custom holiday tags (you can still find these in the FREE DOWNLOADS tab up top for a few more weeks!). I just used a vintage baby blue blanket as a tree skirt by wrapping the base of the tree.
Our beautiful MindaHome stockings have a place of honour! My friend Melinda donates a care package to the homeless with every stocking sold, definitely check it out!
These sparkly guys are so pretty I may just leave them up after the holidays~
