We Made It!

So, we've been here in the Big Easy for nearly a week! A VERY busy, fun week, and I haven't had much time to share but before I overwhelm you with beautiful pastel houses and the spirit of New Orleans for the next couple months, I wanted to do a Road Trip summary post. I am sipping on a cold bottle of Praline Cream Soda (it's heavenly!) and loading all our pics and pulled a few for this post.

It was a 3 day drive (with 3x14+ hour travel days once we stopped for food and gas) and while it was LONNGGGGG, we had a great time and smooth sailing.

Selfie time! Wren was lucky and got to skip out on the drive since she has a few important days of school left, so we are lucky to have her grandparents bringing her down to us (and visiting us on our adventure here for a week) in just a few more days.

When things got a little boring we decided to rock a periscope, which we will also being doing frequently from set once our wifi is up and running! (click on the link on the top of the sidebar to follow along).

Just before we entered Wyoming we drove through this adorable little town.

More selfies, because how else do you amuse yourself for hours?

And more pretty old buildings.

FINALLY, we hit the homestretch. You know you're close once the freeway is raised up and you see either water or swamp below you.

Our little abode for the next couple months.

We are all settled in and have seen familiar faces and made plenty of new friends already, precisely why New Orleans has such a big piece of our hearts.

I'll do a little neighbourhood tour of our corner of NOLA this week. Stay tuned for lots of pretty houses and charming architecture (just like every street here, but I have a soft spot for our place in The Point).
