Home Coming: Things That Make Me Happy
Coming home is pretty much my favourite part of a holiday. It always feels like a breath of fresh air. It was one of the most refreshing holidays I think we've ever had. Everyone needs a break where they have absolutely nothing scheduled and can just bask in the sun and in the pool every so often, and that's exactly what we did.
We did very little shopping, so most of the few little trinkets I brought home, not surprisingly, came from Target. Most were found on routine shopping trips to pick up necessities like sunscreen and bottled water, and just happened to catch my eye. Here's a little peek at what made the trip home with us~
This cute cross bolster hasn't found a permanent spot in the house yet, but it already fits right in.
Sean spied this rose gold gator and it was his only request to bring home, so home it came.
We haven't yet set up our deck for the season, but this monochrome fleece blanket will eventually be perfect for the sofa out there. It's easily washable and the cute pattern will be perfect for the ideas I'm working on out there.
I think my single most favourite purchase was this sweet little pink planter and cactus from Lutume.
Every piece they make comes from the heart and is hand made, and they then pair it with a plant they feel is the best match. Isn't it pretty much the sweetest little plant you've ever seen?
My final house purchase is this cute little pink and white container with the wood lid. I am thinking of using it as another little planter outside this summer, but either way, between the colours and the price tag (on clearance for $3.98!) it was a no brainer.
See? I barely bought anything! Our aim to keep focused on being more minimal and keeping clutter to a minimum is still in effect. Now let's hope Spring is gonna cooperate and let me start getting our deck in order!
